Kathy Corbet began her career in New York City’s fashion district—a creative beginning which served her well as a springboard into interior design. After moving to New England, she traded dresses for drapes, and opened Kathy Corbet Interiors in 2001. Another move in 2005 landed her in Richmond, VA and has since expanded to work with clients all over the country. Kathy and her team collaborate with top local fabricators and tradespeople to bring the clients’ wishes to fruition. In fact, Kathy considers herself a chameleon of a designer and continually works to reflect the unique lifestyles and passions of each homeowner. She also gains inspiration from unexpected combinations of color, textures, patterns, and repurposed or new-found materials that she comes across during her travels.
